Cedar Falls High School is seeking a Weight Room Assistant to support students and supervise the high school weight room program during physical education classes.

 

Position Hours

 

Primary Schedule

• Monday: 8:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
• Tuesday – Friday: 6:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

This position may be split into shifts depending on applicant availability (priority will be given to applicants who can work the entire duration):

• Monday
• Shift 1: 8:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
• Shift 2: 9:45 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
• Tuesday – Friday
• Shift 1: 6:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
• Shift 2: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the weight room setting
• Support safe and appropriate use of equipment
• Assist with individual and small group teaching of the core lifts
• Assist with the organization and daily operations of the weight room
• Assist with teaching individuals and small groups the core lifts
• Promote a positive, safe, and encouraging training environment
• Work collaboratively with teachers, coaches, and school staff
